Make and receive calls from any office as if using phone on home desk
Benefits
Single number, improved mobility, easy access to features
Note
Features handled by the telephone itself are not affected by hot-desking (e.g. call log, phone speed-dials)
Modifies existing hot desking behaviour
- Can’t log out unless set up as a hot-desking user
- User can work at remote site oblivious to state of home switch
- E.g. home switch reboot, network failure etc
- Means rebooting the switch won’t re-home its users
Distributed Hunt Groups
- Hunt Groups can be configured with Remote Users from other SCN switches
- Small Community Advanced Networking Licence required
- The System name, MAC Address & IP Address of all Small Community Network systems will now be stored in the BootP table
- Hunt Groups with Remote Users will automatically be advertised to all SCN systems. All systems will be able to view the networked Hunt Groups, however, only the Hunt Group owner will be able to make changes
- All Users and Hunt Groups need to be unique (linked numbering scheme)
- No CCC support for Distributed Groups
- Delta Server can only report on 1 IP Office site
